There is no hard and fast rule that dictates you need to spend a fortune on home theater setup. Let's face it, most of us are working on tight budgets yet we still crave a number of the pleasures in life and if you are anything like I am, then great television output in comfortable surrounds is essential.

Home theater setup has one important aspect that can give it the feel of going to the cinemas. Simply put, it's the decor that can set a quality home theater apart from another. Come on, if you are reading this then I assume you have a particular fascination with spending quality time inside a sedate setting watching your chosen Star Trek re-run or the Monday night game. 50th Brithday Shin-dig?
Okay my oldest sister asked me "what should we do for mom's 50th this year?" I haven't officially gotten back with her because I really do not know.
The 50th is supposed to be the BIG birthday party with lots of your friends and family to celebrate with you. The thing is, my mom is a home body. You almost have to tell her what's going on in order to get her out of the house. she has no family her except for her in-laws and she really does not like being around them.
I would like to see that we could pull off a nice formal dinner with a nice social crowd in an intimate setting. Formal dress is something I would like to see to as well as have dinner served by candlelight. Maybe a limo ride around town for an hour or two or dinner on a boat with her daughters.

Make her 50th b/d very personal to her. Maybe include the spa? Hair, make-up, etc. Huge bouquet of flowers sent by the florist.
Put an ad in the newspaper which will include a picture of her in her younger days!
